It’s April 12th, 2019: Day 2 of Star Wars Celebration! Over the next 4 days Star Wars super fans will descend into Chicago’s Wintrust Arena for cosplay and the latest information regarding all things Star Wars.

On this day, by far the most consequential, exclusive details were revealed for the upcoming release of Episode IX. Prior to today, even the guessed-about title wasn’t known.

Participants in today’s panel, included surprise host: Stephen Colbert and guests: JJ Abrams, Kathleen Kennedy, Anthony Daniels, R2D2, Billy D. Williams, Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Naomie Ackie, Kelly Marie Tran, and BB8 recounting their journey through the Star Wars universe and its future. Here’s what you need to know about the Episode IX:

First, the title: “The Rise of Skywalker.” Will JJ Abrams and co roll back the changes Rian Johnson made? Obviously, it’s still too early to speculate, but will definitely be serious debate over the next few months.

Carrie Fisher appears in Episode IX through the use of multiple unused sequences from Force Awakens. There are even some scenes with her and her daughter Billie Lourd together. Hearts will melt.

The story will center around the main trio as a team on an adventure. As in, the story won’t be fractured.

Naomi Ackie is a new cast member, playing Janna in a further diversification of the Star Wars universe. Though, she did not confirm if she’s Lando’s daughter.

The most emotional moment arrived when Kelly Marie Tran, who received significant “fan” abuse on social media, was given a standing ovation and the loudest cheer of the panel. Tran gushed, clearly overwhelmed by the reception.

Filming took place in Jordan and the cast did have to push through sand storms.

Also, there’s a new droid named D-o, who will be friends with BB8.

Finally, there was indeed a trailer drop!
